Benefits of indoor golf
Indoor golf simulator training can greatly improve your scores!
Typically indoor golf is most popular in colder climates over the winter months to allow for the lull between golf seasons to move a little quicker.
What can you learn indoors?
How and why the ball does what it does, otherwise known as the ball flight laws. In order to get this feedback and knowledge you must train on a system that is accurate and user friendly. A technology such as Trackman… which in my opinion has the best interface and feedback out there… you can begin to learn your tendencies and how to correct them “on the fly”.
First focus on the distance parameters….CLUB SPEED, SMASH FACTOR & BALL SPEED. These help understand how a ball travels a certain distance. They are part of an equation that if you want more distance then focusing on a certain part of that equation will directly effect how fast the ball travels off the club face and therefore how far the ball goes.
Distance Equation:
Distance or Ball Speed = Club Speed x Smash Factor
Secondly, once a desired distance is achieved you may then shift focus to how a ball curves. Parameters such as ATTACK ANGLE, CLUB PATH & FACE ANGLE will help understand this.
Learning how to achieve CONSISTENCY through strike and curving the ball (or lack there of) will allow you to move into playing the game of golf well resulting in a more enjoyable experience.
